(Luke 17:11-19) tells the story of ten lepers who approached Jesus and asked if He would, in His mercy, heal them. Of course, they were all healed. Sadly, only one returned to thank Jesus for for He had done for him. Jesus noticed that the other nine did not return to give thanks.

Besides just being the right thing to do, it is so important that we return to God to praise Him and offer our heart-felt grattitude when He answers prayers for us, or just blesses us without being asked. It not only lets God know that we will be thankful for our next answered prayer, but when we thank Him publically we encourage others in their trials.
